art again

it has been about a year since I have really made any art at all.

                                i have not posted in this blog since the last time i was in a show.

    i've been focusing on 'normal' things for the past year in my life.  bills, responsibilities, planning for the future.

                           i have been thinking about art the whole year, but I needed to step away.

  i think i was becoming a little frustrated with art.  or maybe just frustrated with the idea that it has to be something i didn't want it to be... ?  not sure to be honest, but I needed a break.

               now i am starting to make art again and i am just beginning by drawing.  i like drawing.  it doesn't have to be anything i don't want it to be. i got a little sketch book, one that is easily portable.

i went to a show over the weekend.

     it feels nice when you can create things and not care what anyone thinks about it.  i think I needed a space like that to create.  right now i guess it is in this little sketchbook :)
