Well, here is this Thursday's piece!
The image you see is only one part of the entire piece. My scanner scanned the entire piece but also chose to scan this section, entirely on its own... without my consent... without my decision making in mind. So because of that, I have now dubbed this section the actual piece. The rest is abandoned now.
Accidents and mistakes are something I think should be considered when you make art works, because sometimes the choices you do not intend on might be the better one (or at least worth looking at). Sometimes its good to observe the way things happen without your total interjection. A book falls over two times after you place it down... pick it up, maybe there is something inside it for you and its the book's way of telling you - the only way it can. Deviations spawn their own little worlds!
In other news, I am one of 23 finalists for my top choice school.... I'm crapping my pants nervous about the upcoming interview. Its a competitive program. I feel very honored to even be a finalist.
